Genomics and Bioinformatics

The rapid creation and application of novel bioinformatics tools is allowing our lab to more accurately and swiftly explore questions relating to the molecular foundations of behaviour and adaptation in both solitary and social insect systems.

Our lab endeavours to create and apply cutting-edge pipelines for genomics and transcriptomics that are usable across many other study systems. We’re particularly involved in development within the Nextflow ecosystem, which makes it simple to build bioinformatic pipelines that are replicable, scalable and robust.
