Position: Bioinformatician

Current project: Eco-Flow: building pipelines for agri-ecologists

Interests: My main interest is building bioinformatic pipelines that are modular, reproducible, portable, and easy to run. I use Nextflow as my main tool for writing these pipelines, manage dependencies through containers and environments, and work to overcome the challenges of running computational workflows across different systems, from local workstations to High Performance Computing clusters. I’m also part of the nf-core community, using established templates and best practices to build pipelines that are robust and easy to use.

Biography: I am Paraguayan and moved to Spain when I was young. I began my academic journey with a BSc in Biology, then transitioned into computational biology with an MSc in Bioinformatics. This led to a bioinformatician position at the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) in Barcelona. In 2024 I moved to London to work as a Bioinformatician on the Eco-Flow project at UCL.
